The first months with a newborn are both exhilarating and exhausting. Often referred to as "the fourth trimester", the postpartum period is a time of adjustment for the baby(ies), the mother, the father or partner, and the family as a whole. Mothers need time to process and recover physically, mentally and emotionally from pregnancy, labor and delivery. The right kind of support can make all of the difference while parents get their bearings, get to know their new addition and master the art of feeding, soothing and caring for their baby. A postpartum doula can provide comfort, much needed rest, an experienced hand, and reassurance in the care of your newborn.
