Daytime and/or Overnight Support
Doulas offer expertise, knowledge, encouragement and support. We'll help you navigate life with your newborn. For some families that means assistance learning the specifics of newborn care needs such as feeding, diapering, bathing, organzition of the nursery. For some families, its support with breastfeeding or sibling adjustment. Figuring out how to best schedule multiples and learning tips and tricks to soothe, settle and encourage optimal newborn sleep routines. We'll support you and your parenting choices, while offering evidence based information and resources. Our goal is to maximize family bonding and attachment and parental health and well being. Babies need to be nurtured and they need parents who are healthy and well rested!

A doula's typical work schedules are 2-4 hours during the day or 8-10 hour shifts overnight.
They’ll help care for the newborn and assist with any reasonable request to make you more comfortable and supported.
Postpartum Doula
We come to your home and help you out with a range of things that will make your days and nights easier and more relaxed. Our Postpartum Doulas can support your family in the following ways:
Nurturing the Family Members, especially Mom
Processing Labor and Chilbirth experience
Assessing the needs of the family
Providing Recommendations and Referrals
Providing Emotional Support and Encouragement
Affirmation & Confidence building in parenting choices
Education about soothing babies in the Fourth Trimester
Bottle preparation and washing/cleaning/sterilizing
Screening for Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders
Establishing routine
Organizing the nursery area

Help knowing what is normal or when you need specialized care
Help with comfortable positions for mom and baby
Establishing helpful routines
